Fuel surcharge calculator
Per-mile and total fuel surcharge from a diesel price and base. Nothing you type leaves this page.
How it works
- Per-mile surcharge is the diesel price above the base price, divided by the MPG in the agreement.
- Many broker and shipper programs use a base near $1.20–$1.25 and 6 MPG; use the numbers in your own contract.
- When diesel is at or below the base, the surcharge is zero.
